May the ESPN/USC cock sucking continue
Posted on 1/8/09 at 3:37 pm to lsubeast
barkley deserves that top spot
Posted on 1/8/09 at 3:38 pm to okietiger
They had to make sure USC had the 1st and 2nd ranked player

Randle dropping baffels me....Downs up is obvious......Shepard had good runs, a 92 yard TD pass, just the fumble I guess hurt him.

I's great to see that Josh Downs got bumped up o 40.

Manti will probably go to BYU

Maybe Egg, but they are basing this off of one game where he got way more time to play than their senior seasons. Doesnt matter though.

Because he had one good game that he played basically the WHOLE game in an all-star game. Please, how about let's look at his whole season and see those stats

Based off one game without being surrounded by mediocre scrubs.
Posted on 1/8/09 at 3:39 pm to okietiger
...and he made the most of it. he pretty much dominated all week long at practices and was by far the best qb on the field sunday night.
but like you said, it really doesn't matter a tick.

Well, shite! Guess I'm gonna have to ship all those "LSU 2009 Recruiting Champions" T-shirts off to Cameroon.

Amazing.
One pretty good performance in what was essentially a scrimmage, and a senior season's worth of mediocrity is wiped from the record books.

right...who said anything about forgetting his senior year????
Posted on 1/8/09 at 3:44 pm to lsubeast
they talk mostly of Downs being an offensive lineman....but I cant see him playing anything other than DT. He is simply a force inside and demands double teams just like Dorsey did..
I cant wait for this kid to develop and get on the field..

It's a talent evaluation, not a performance grade of his senior year. They obviously think that his motion, decision making, accuracy, arm strength etc etc is worth the number one spot.

if anything, i'd put randle at the 1 spot, barkley 2, shepard 3
