if that's true, I'm starting to not like the Kiffins, first Orgeron, now this, how low can you go.

Hiring coaches to get recruits is a great idea!

Basically it is. How likely do you think it is that Mr. Jackson gets the job at UT if his son honors his commitment to LSU? Kiffin will use the son as leverage against his dad. Looks like we have another tool (ala Urban Meyer) joining the coaching ranks of the SEC.

If he were to get the job, yes.

This news has been out for a while and apparently his dad said it won't affect where his kid goes to school. (See Recruiting Board)

I'm pretty sure Nick Saban hired O.P. Walker's high school coach in 2002/2003 so he could sign Craig Davis, Dominic Cooper and Daryl Johnson.

I think I saw a quote over there that said if he were to become the coach at T, than his son would NOT follow him.

This kind of thing can only happen once per coach, though, correct?

Surely people wise up to the sting, just as we know Nutt does it.

thought Orgeron (Ole Miss) hired Frank Davis from OP Walker b/c Davis could influence kids from NOLA.

I think you are referring to Nelson Stokley firing coach Rex Kipps because his son Kyle chose LSU. Kyle eventually turned into a pretty for DE for LSU

I've seen that once or twice on the recruiting board and that he is solid to LSU.

Frank Wilson hired in 2005 I think for that reason.
