dandydon.com had a film breakdown (by carterthepower) link this morning. It's lengthy but damning for sure. Our center (along with a handful of false starts this year) can't block his shadow. We have safeties who did their best Nolan Ryan (no hitter) impersonation Saturday night. To think that Milroe had 330 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2 games against us is simply mind boggling.

Anyway, take some time and go back and watch the film. It's the same film that the LSU staff will have watched. There are no excuses for all of the misassignments, poor technique and in some cases, lack of effort. Like they say, "the film doesn't lie". It left me wondering how we beat South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.

I wouldn't even say "sometimes" a lack of effort. There was a lack of effort on probably the majority of plays. I don't think I've ever seen an LSU team be as visibly careless about the outcome of the play as they were on Saturday.

I am not knocking carters breakdown, but to be fair, he is working off the tv copy, not what the coaches watch. It is often more damning than what we can see on TV.

I highly doubt he knows more about defense, than Baker. LSU just doesn’t have a lot of talent, on defense. That’s on Brian Kelly though. Matt House was a bum.

Blake Baker had a bad game design. We never made an attempt to keep Milroe in the pocket. Ends crashing inside losing contain. The angle route to jam miller for a touchdown was a horrible play call by Baker. If some random YouTube bro notices several problems with your defensive gameplan, imagine what good coaches will notice. I’m not saying Blake Baker is terrible but I don’t think he’s a top ten coordinator either. Defensive ends coach l, linebackers coach and safeties coach are all Blake Baker and his assistants from Missouri.

When we play up to our very potential we are good. That’s obvious given we best Ole Piss and SC. When we don’t, well you know what happens. This time is so bipolar. The team looks completely different than it did after the first half of the AM game . The downfall has been quick, and jarring to say the least.

Made me think they are betting against themselves and cashing in on FanDuel

If I had no chance at the NFL, I'd be tempted to cash in that way

I try to give coaches some leeway on a busted play a couple of times a game. Plus film gives us the advantage of how to defend or execute a play knowing what the result ultimately is

Having coached baseball and calling for a player to take, steal, bunt, etc multiple times and they just misread the play happens quite a bit. You would expect less at this level, but it happens.

Why didn’t Burns bump out? It looks like that’s what the LB was pointing to so that we could of kept 2 linebackers in the box?

Carter’s rant on the 25 seconds before half is legendary.
