For dinner? Curate.drinks after at Sovereign Remedies. Can’t vouch for what precisely will be rocking at new years but that’s a start. There will probably be fireworks in the downtown center park area. Downtown asheville puts on a good Fourth of July.

Have you checked to see if the place you are staying is undamaged? Also, hurricane recovery is still ongoing there and lots of places are closed. You may want to check and make sure you don't need to alter your plans.

Good advise. I drove through Ashville ten days ago and stopped for breakfast at a Waffle House which was using bottled water for cooking and dish washing. The restrooms were a porta potty.

I was told that the drinking water facilities would be disabled for several more weeks and many diners and restaurants will stay closed until the water purification plants return to service.

Asheville lifted their boil water requirement today and tap water is now safe to drink.

If you like Indian food, I highly recommend Chai Pani.

Lobster Trap, Biscuit Head, White Duck Taco are all good options. Downtown should be fine from Helene if that's where you're going.
