What’s amazing

Bama only out gained us by 70 yards. First downs were 23-22. We moved the ball. The red zone offense was again a disaster. And key player screw ups ( face mask on 3rd down, Chester’s brain fart) did us in. As bad as the score was this game should have been competitive.

You got about 70 yds on the last drive vs our scrubs.

What’s amazing is that we couldn’t gain more yardage against their backups when we had our first team in. We stunk and stop trying to sugarcoat it.

You’re right.
Yardage and FD’s were equal most of the game. Milroe’s 2 long runs in 2nd H separated them
But, just like the last Q and a half at A&M, the opposing QB could have had his right arm removed and still won their games

Milroe had 109 yards passing. If you told me before the game that stat, I would’ve said we’re winning for sure. This game was winnable. Turnovers, red zone offense, and an ongoing and publicly recognized inability to stop running QBs killed us. We sucked. But it’s not like Bama wasn’t beatable.

That was a gameplan and QB problem
After Nuss threw that first bad pass that our receiver had to play DB, LSU went back to a Les Miles offense
He had lost his confidence and that of the staff. Middle of the field was taken away, everything underneath. We had no options over the top either
Teams are willing to let us move the ball underneath until the field gets smaller. We have to score TDs from outside the Red Zone or settle for FGA’s
Good examples of just how bad it was were ample. Didn’t trust Nuss to throw a pass downfield to end 1st H and plenty of throws short of the line to gain on 3rd down by design
It was Miles-esque all game
