Tulsi for Joint Chiefs or Head of the VA?

Tulsi was promised a position. That isn't even a question. But which position?
I spoke with my Uncle today about the requirements for appointment to the joint chiefs. He retired as a Lt Colonel in the Air Force Special Operations Pacific Command. He said typically you are a 3 star and get awarded your 4th on appointment, but he didn't know if that was codified or simply tradition. However, he didn't see it as an issue, if Trump wants her representing the Army, he just promotes her -- as is his right.
That being said, I think head of the VA is better suited to her interests. She'll still be promoted to a general to make chain of command easier, but being a medic and deeply invested in the well being of veterans, I think that would be the perfect role for her in this administration.
Thoughts?

Ain't gonna lie. That is a woman that could put a hurting on a man and make him like it. Bet she makes a mean post coitus smoothie too.

Ambassador to the UN

I think she would decline that role -- though she would excel at it. She would have to resign her commission and it's almost a death knell for any political aspirations as you are saddled with the blame for anything that goes wrong in the world.

Your uncle is wrong.
CJCS is the senior officer in the military, oversees the service chiefs, and advises the President.
It is not an entry level four star billet.

Position should not exist and the UN should be kicked out of the country. It participates in things like the border invasion.

He wasn't wrong because he said he didn't know whether it was tradition or an actual requirement.
However he said that rather than rewriting a rule, he could just promote her because he's the commander in chief. That's his right.
It was a simple hypothetical. And he tried to answer it as best he could.
The point was that Tulsi has been promised a role in this administration, and I said she is likely probably going to end up in a role like head of the VA.
ETA: And I never said she would be Chairman.

As a veteran, I'd absolutely love for her to be the head of the VA. With that said, I feel like she's capable of more than that.

I’d like to see her as secretary of defense. She’s anti-war and would return pride and honor to that sad department.

Secretary of defense or secretary of state.

There is zero chance she is going from a Reserve O-5 to active duty O-10.

Kalshi has her as the favorite to lead the VA... id rather Sec of State though

You guys pushing her for SecDef are nuts. She's still a socialist liberal. She would do nothing to clean up the DEI cancer, the anti-American Marxism (don't kid yourself, it's there) or women in combat roles nonsense that is destroying our military.
Be honest, if Tulsi looked like Hillary Clinton, 95% of her support would disappear.

I wouldn't make her Sec of Defense but maybe Sec of the Army.

She's not a GO. Why not just make her Secretary of Defense?
