Any duck reports from youth hunting in Delacroix this weekend?

I took two to Venice and it was abysmal.

Hunted three different places over two days and saw a grand total of about 80 birds. Yesterday I didn't adjust for the time change accidentally and ran from the launch through and through a good bit of main pass and did not see ONE duck running.

Our youths killed 6 over three hunts, marsh looks great but there is nothing there to hunt.

Marsh might not look so great after this weekend with the storm tracking the way it is

Hate to hear that. Havent heard anything good about ducks from this weekend in Venice.

Trout fishing was on fire again this weekend. Hope you and the youths found them in light of duck numbers.

Whatever few birds were there are likely going to GTH out of Dodge with this storm coming.

On the bright side, maybe the TN, NC, SC, and Florida boys will stay at home instead of riding through the marsh at all hours of the day trying to "scout."

Talked to two different guys who took kids to Delacroix/Carnarvon. Both did well; mostly BW and few whistlers.

Yes fishing is what you hope for in November down there. Easy trout and as many white trout as the kids felt like cleaning (that was a big number...).

Delacroix was outstanding with kids limiting out on teal and grey ducks. Lots of SAV (submerged aquatic vegetation) in the ponds. A little further south in Pointe La Hache was even better it took kids 34 minutes if they wanted teal or they could wait and limit on greys when they flew later. Gonna be a great 1st split in both those areas.

Bold prediction based on killing teal on youth weekend. Hope you're right though. Not much going on in Biloxi Marsh. I'll be running around both areas on Friday though so will give a report.
