We have only 1 grandchild so wife & I like to send him things. He is 13 years old, doing good in school and starting to see how the world operates. If we send him money we tell him he has to put 1/2 in the bank and can do with the rest what he wants.

Are there any financial books geared towards kids that age explaining banking, savings, investing, compound interest etc?

I'd do the books, I wouldn't just send cash.

Millionaire Next Door is a good read.

I’d make sure to equally expose him to how that traditional paradigm is failing. Skate to where the puck is going instead of where it’s been sort of mentality.

How to make money in stocks by William O’Neil.

If he reads it now, in 5 years or so sitting on his subconscious… sky is the limit.

Buy him a share of a stock or ETF. I did this for our 15 and 11 year old and they ended up looking things up online. We did VGT and NVDA

Dave Ramsey has books for youth. I know this board may take some issues with his finer points, but my school had me read it in high school and it left an impression.
