Yeah he was hurt some, but he was a beast. We haven't had a safety on that level since he came through I would say

Delpit was a beast from the moment he stepped on campus at LSU. I remember him flying up as a Freshman and making solid open field tackles and thinking "He's going to be a great one".

This is a major reason our defense has taken a step backwards.

You should google his high school footage. I did this a few days ago just out of curiosity. It's as bad as you'd think.
Also I loved Delpit. He probably was the last great safety we've had. Smart player too.
