Haven’t had a .380 in years, looking to buy one for a truck gun.
I’ve bought Ruger’s in the past and know they are reliable but I’ve been reading good things about Bersa.
Which one should I go?

I just bought the Ruger LCP for $159 on PSA.
PSA has the LCP Max 75th Anniversary for $249 which is the cheapest I've seen the Max anywhere. Not crazy about the 2 tone but with the better capacity, slightly more weight, better trigger and sights - I would have gone this route had I done a bit more research. Oh well, I love the size of the LCP and it's my first true pocket carry

I took out my S&W M&P Shield 9mm and put in my Taurus PT92 in my truck. My hands are old and stiff. I can operate the Taurus easier than the S&W.

Why not just get a Ruger SP 101?
.380 is obsolete, IMHO.
Getting one of the small 9mm (P365 or one of the little Kahr pistols in 9mm) would be a better option.
If you already like Ruger and are dead set on a .380, get the LCP.

This. I was looking for something else, but the guy at the store suggested I try it since it was brand new. I knew once I put it in my hand and had a brief range session that I was buying it. Best mouse gun on the market.

I don’t mind .380’s but I think a revolver or a single stack 9mm is a better option

I had a Bersa .380 CC that I really liked. I lost it in a boating accident, for real. Well, really a canoe accident, but it was gone none the less.
I really like the CC, it was concealable but also very fun to shoot. The only hiccup I had with it was a spring design that could lead to a fail to fire, and it did for me. Lost confidence in it as a daily.
Once it was lost, I didn't replace it with another Bersa.

My wife’s every day carry is the .380 lcp and mine is the 380 lcp max. The lcp 2 and the max both have better sights and a better trigger than the lcp so if you went with ruger I suggest the 2 or the max. The lcp and lcp 2 are both 7 shots while the max is 11 and only slightly bigger def not noticeable. So for me the max is by far the choice. Would have gotten the wife the max as well but it nor the 2 were available yet only the lcp. They shoot straight and fit in any pocket without ever knowing they there. Some will say they aren’t accurate enough but I can put every bullet in a cake plate from 15 steps which is all those guns are made for.

If you’re going to get a 380 get the smallest one that fits in a business suit pocket.

just a question for you, will you carry this in your pocket when you leave your truck or is this strictly a gun that you will keep in your truck?
reason I'm asking is why do you want a micro to keep in your truck unless you plan of carrying it with you?
I have a Ruger LCP, it's the old model and I just don't shoot it well. I will be buying an Sig P938 at some point. It will strictly be a pocket gun.

Those original lcp def aren’t as good as the lcp 2 and especially the max. I’ve considered selling the wife’s and getting her a max but might just get her a max and give the reg lcp to my daughter to start shooting.
