Our offense is incredibly easy to shut down.

Take away the underneath routes and it’s done. Nussmeier is inaccurate down the field, and our line is completely incapable of getting a push ever.

All things considered the offense has been okay. Last night is an outlier for Nuss until it isn’t — I’ve never seen him make a decision that situationally terrible & I’ve never seen him get rattled and unravel like that.

We do need to figure out how to manufacture a run game, but the truth is we are often outmanned at interior OL.

Chester has potential, but he’s a freshman playing center.

Absolutely. We can’t run the ball against good defenses.

Also it doesn't help that WR's are not running down field routes at full speed. it's very clear that they slow down or semi take the play off.

At this point in the season they are what they are, an ok pass blocking line and a terrible run blocking line.

I don’t expect that to change.

Pass, run, pass

If you know the formula… so easy to figure it out. How has Jackson disappeared from the run game.

The team is just full of good, not great players. Hence why we will likely finish 9-3 once again and barely miss the playoffs. Hopefully I am proven wrong or Underwood and Pickett can come in next year and be elite or great even.

Sloan does not know how to run an offense. He tries to get too cute at times instead of going with what has been working

I agree … and our play calling in or near the red zone is horrible…Sloan needs to go

He wasn't inaccurate when he was throwing to Boutte, Thomas, and Nabers.
Go watch the Georgia Championship game a couple yeas ago.
Or the Bowl game last season.

If the QB would RUN every quarter or so, we’d keep defenses honest and they wouldn’t sit on routes

No, our O is NOT incredibly easy to shut down. In fact, in 4 SEC games our O has NOT been shut down at all. We shut ourselves down 6 times last night...SIX times by making mistakes. THREE FG errors and 3 INT's, that is what "shut our O down" last night. Had we made the same 6 errors in the Carolina, OMiss, or Arkie games we would have lost those games as well.

to be fair most of the time the rec's aren't open down the field...even super fast Hilton on a fly route yesterday, the defender appeared to be faster than him. There is more to route running than speed.

However, when a team is one dimensional it tends to be easier to stop them. I'll never understand how we can be a pretty good pass blocking line (not last night in the second half though), but a abysmal run blocking line.

That’s it run on 2nd down 6 times, and pass on 3rd and 8 or longer, horrible never changed play call- Nuss rattled WR got emotional and dropped 4 passes TOTAL MELTDOWN
In 2016?? Or something like that CBK took the play calling away from Denbrock at ND, JD5 got him a Job at ND, there offense is Bland.

I agree, but I'm afraid it's too late. If we haven't figured it out by now, we're not going to.

Everybody is blaming Nuss, Sloan, and Kelly, but why is nobody holding Bo Davis accountable?

Our offense scores points cause Nuss has to play his arse off all game cause he gets zero help from the run game and is put in bad situations. I mean plz tell me that everyone noticed our center getting sent to Federal pound me in the arse prison last night, and pretty much all season. You can’t run behind him and this is the guy I. The center of your Offensive line. Balls were thrown low last night cause he’s getting pushed back every play and when that DT put his hands up he literally had to angle throws around and under the guy. No wonder he throws off. His back foot so much, he has to. A big deal was made about our pass blocking, which is kinda a mirage cause of how fast Nuss gets the ball out, any other qb would have been sack multiple times.

I agree. Chester is a terrible center.
