Previously affiliated with a hedge fund but not an actual employee. The phrase hedge fund is very broad. They range from small funds around 5 Million AUM to 100's of Billions. The majority of funds in existence are a boutique sized company with less than 10 employees/managers.
I traded fund money and we split the profits therefore had dealings with the operations or management of the company.
