Any info on doing Bourbon Tour out of Louisville would help.

Where to stay in Louisville
What tour company to use for 8 guys.

I used Mint Julep Tours for ours.

We stayed in a VRBO.

We hit Angel's Envy, Woodford, and the old Stitzel-Weller distillery where Bulleit had there tasting room setup at the time - that was a full day. Mint Julep scheduled a lunch in between and had drinks on the van for us - it was a great experience.

Was there last weekend…..

We did Old Forester, Woodford, Castle & Key, Whiskey Thief, and Buffalo Trace. Also went to the Louisville Slugger Museum.

Enjoyed them all but Castle & Key was our favorite stop (not the best bourbon, but the grounds were cool).

Buffalo Trace is a staple.
Heaven Hill (You Do Bourbon) experience was fun.
Willet was average at best.
Angel's Envy was nice.
Four Roses was my favorite by far.
Castle & Key is really cool.
Michter's is nice.

Whiskey Thief Distilling was a really cool experience

I haven't done these, but have heard great things:
Maker's Mark
James E. Pepper
Woodford Reserve
Stizel-Weller
Evan Williams
Peerless
James Beam
Old Forrester
Bulleit
Wild Turkey
Bardstown Bourbon
Lux Row
Rabbit Hole

Went earlier this year. Stayed at an Airbnb in Louisville.

Had a great time.

Did a day in Louisville, a day in Bardstown then a day in the Frankfurt area.

We didn’t do a tour service just booked everything ourselves.

Did a Private barrel tasting at Heaven Hill that was really good.

Preservation Distillery (Very Olde St Nick, Old Man Winter, Rare Perfection) is a lesser known gem. Really good tour and tasting. We were the only group there at the time and at the end of our post tour tasting, they let us sample some really high end Olde St Nick bottles.

I did a few stops this week. Woodford Reserve, Castle & Key, Wild Turkey, and Maker’s Mark. I also visited Buffalo Trace, but didn’t have the tour. The first four were great and I highly recommend all four. Buffalo Trace was a crowded shite show and I recommend you have a tour booked in advance or show up right when they open.
