Travel Agent for Cruise

Has anyone ever used and/or can recommend a BR area travel agent for booking a cruise? Is it worth it? It would be for a party of 5-6 and I would like to book a suite (which says its for 4-8 passengers) but the websites wont let me. Just wondering if it would require an agent and would there be any benefit more than that and how much would it cost.
thx

What websites? Call the cruise line directly and book it.

I have a good one. She's booked many cruises. Alison Williams 225-921-6669.
You can text her also. She's familiar with many cruise lines and books with all of them. Very good at giving suggestions also.

I just tried to book a cruise with a travel agent for a family of 12 and it was a nightmare. She kept giving all over the prices for each of our rooms. Some were 1-2k over what they were on RC or Carnival.
I found cruise.com is the cheapest for booking cruises.

It depends on the agent, sometimes you can find one that has a deal on pricing by using a service like cruise compete to see which ones have that.
I mostly just go through the cruise line and run my bot to watch pricing. Even after you purchase the cruise, prices can come down and you can call the cruise line directly and rebook the same room and save money.
This applies to drink packages/internet/excursions/anything else you buy for the ship. Always watch prices to see when you can get better deals even after purchase.
If the websites won't let you book, it may be sold out or something else going on you didn't see. Worth a direct call to the cruise company and find out why.

I booked a cruise earlier this year with Pearson's Travel. They were able to get me a couple of upgrades plus saved me around $700 compared to what I would have gotten booking through the cruise line's website.

simple custom python thing to scrape RCCL's data. You can find similar on github. Not sure which ones work anymore. They have sites like cruisewatch or cruisepicker app that will do similar.

Gimmie a call! I'm a cruise/hotel/Disney/Universal travel agent and I'm a "certified expert" in all the major cruise lines.
My number is 516-376-7497. I'm based in Houston but I'm in Baton Rouge a lot.
ETA: Just read some of the comments. At worst, a TA should charge the exact same as you would see online. If they are charging more you are likely getting scammed.
Basically sometimes agencies get a block of rooms in a group and that locks in the price and keeps the inventory for those rooms. If we have those, I can sell out of the group and it usually beats the public price. If we don't have them or we run out then we sell at the normal price of the cruiseline's website.
What I do is at worst if I have to sell at the cruise line's price, I will throw in some OBC out of my commission that way we both come out ahead.

Call Beverly Arceneaux with Expedia, 225-572-5734. She and her husband Keith have booked two cruises for me, we got excellent deals, and all the details are ironed out for me.
