Having us at 12 is maybe only the 6th most offensive ranking on that list good lord haha

It isn’t a “ranking” so that’s probably your first problem.

I agree with Miami at 10. Their schedule is dogshit.

Otherwise I'll take a pass

Pretty clear that the computers are unable to properly calculate the impact of healthy Caden Durham and Zy Alexander (and to a certain extent gamebreaking Whit Weeks) bc the sample size is still too small.

LSU is legitimately not the same team from a personnel perspective that it was for the first few weeks of the season but it’s hard to write a formula to account for that.

There is clearly an agenda at work.

Then what is it? It represents to be a ranking.

How do they calculate that?

ND 7 with a loss to Northern Illinois

Bama 3 with 2 losses including one to Vandy?

Doesn’t matter, just win. Have us unranked for what we care. Just keep winning and we’ll be there.

I rather us be disrespected

you do know that FPI is a predictor going forward and not a ranking of what has happened so far, right?

so the teams "ranked" above us has as more to do with them having easier remaining schedules than anything else.

it's a predictor

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season.

It is still a ranking. Your parsing is not persuasive. It say TOP 25 at the top. No?

Looks silly but it will shake out in next coming weeks. Have no problem with Texas, Georgia, Alabama ranked ahead of LSU. but Ole Miss?

a ranking of what the teams will do going forward, not what has already transpired

my parsing?
I copied and pasted what is written on the ESPN FPI page.

Fair enough, sir, but the visual is 100% represented as a ranking.

Y’all should do more research on this ranking as well as a ranking like Josh Pates on how they’re determined before you keep making posts and crying about them.

I like stuff like the FPI, but if this doesn't tell you all you need to know, then I don't know what to say.
