Seafood market in Venice LA

Afternoon OB, doing a little marsh fishing this weekend in Venice. Are there any markets where I can buy any tuna, crabs, snapper or shrimp? tia

Soon as you cross the levee take a right at stop sign like going to Cypress Cove/Venice Marina.
Right when you get into the hard curve just past that stop sign you'll see an 18 wheeler trailer and some random ducks/chickens running around in a pen. There's a shrimp dock right there that will sell you shrimp. We got some weekend before last and they were great size.
Regarding Tuna/Snapper--doubtful you will find anything like that.
Regarding crabs, you can stop a crabber coming into the marina and they'll general sell you as many as you want--we do it frequently in Cypress Cove.

Agree with above Sharko’s is very easy for shrimp. Crabs are easy as well just be aware Venice crabs typically aren’t nearly as full as ones from the lake.
The only really full crabs in Venice are found after midnight in the den.

Side note: reds are thick on edges of passes and trout starting to move in pretty good. So make sure you bring a couple double rigs/drop shot rigs to fish the deep bends for trout.
