Anyone have an idea where I might find a bottle of Penelope Rio whiskey?

I’m in BR.

Thanks

That’s a hard to find tater bottle. Better luck hitting a dollar scratch off jackpot then finding one on a shelf if you don’t play the back door game with a liquor store manager.

The Rio is good. Some of their other stuff is just meh. I do however agree that it isn’t worth the $250+ that people are charging on the secondary market. But at the original $80 it was good.

To answer OPs question, you will need to go back to about March or April if you want to buy Rio at retail. Everything else is on secondary.

I had a bottle of batch 2 on the shelf till we sold it out. Everyone came in and wanted to try it and I 80% didn’t like it.

My customers would ask, is this the bottle people are chasing and paying hundreds of dollars on secondary, then they would ask why.

Settled for a bottle of Valencia recently knowing I wasn't going to find Rio until next year. It's decent but nothing to write home about for the $90 I paid after tax.

Wick has become jaded. I don't even ask his opinion anymore. If I did, I would own no bourbon
