Shoulder Surgeons in BR

Ive been having a lot of shoulder pain the last 2 years and an MRI confirmed a fully torn labrum (slap tear). Been trying to rehab the heck out of it but shooting my bow and anything in the gym absolutely wrecks it. Who's everyones recommended surgeon in the Baton Rouge area?

Mark Field is the man. He's also @ BROC

Mark Field has done both of mine. Left shoulder after it was messed up by previous surgery done by somewhere else.

Anyone had experience with a slap tear? I’ve had way too many surgery’s in my life (motocross) so I wanted to try and avoid it. Gotten to the point now though where that doesn’t seem like an option

I had Slap tear on both shoulders. Here in ATL so can’t refer a BR surgeon but mine was great. Surgery was easy. PT on my right side (dominant) was easier for recovery. Guessing just stronger to begin with. Left side was frustrating that my mobility was taking longer to come back. Surgeon kept telling me not to worry about strength as that will come back easy. To really work on mobility. Finally got better after six months whereas right side was prob 3. But all in all very glad I had both done. No pain anymore and able to lift heavier than ever before. Also I’m 44 and just trying to stay healthy not working out to win contests or anything.
