There's no one here who doesn't hope rattler is better than Carr. The difference is there's a faction here that would rather it not be Carr even if the player is inferior.

Well Rattler is a rookie making his first start agains a heated division rival behind a 2nd and 3rd string interior o-line. Only 2 receiving options and 1 RB options.

He is starting on his home field and defenses have little to no tape on him as a Pro. He has the talent but his college career was suspect to say the least in terms of consistency.

Expectations should be tempered and instead of setting yourselves up for disappointment rather focus on how he improves play to play throughout the game. I know it’s not fun to think realistically but he’s in a very tough situation. I made no mention of a short week because for him it won’t be a physical factor since he hasn’t dressed much less played prior to today.

We’ll learn a lot today about him and the Saints future but remember temper your expectations. One game won’t be enough to make a concrete determination. In other words regardless of the games out come don’t get to high or too low.

It'd be real cool if Rattler threw for 400 and 5 TDs today

He'll probably throw for 180 with 1 TD 1 INT
