Did the GT win put your faith back in CLM

cause with the way we were playing the year, I was losing mine. I can remember more than a couple times where the team came out uninspired and looked totally unprepared. Basically they looked like they had hardly been coached.

making moves on the DC situation caused me to believe he will do what he needs to do in order to keep LSU at a high level - that for me was bigger but the donkey stomping of GT certainly leaves a good taste heading into the coming football season.

Seeing him finally put the best players on the field restored it. I still don't get murphy over ridley but oh well. Seeing jones starting at the safety position and making plays got me going. Finally giving the reign to JJ over JL/Hatch has sewn it up. I know we have a chance at winning the sec next year.

I don't know if that applies in my case. I was never in "Trust the Hat"/"Fear the Hat" rah-rah brigade that had passionate faith in him.

I'm still not sure that Les is a great coach.

I hope he is and I want him to be and I'm very pleased at the manner in which we won over GT.

I know he won a national title and I know his record. And I hope I can eat some crow in his honor cause I like the guy and think he's a good guy. I'm pulling for him because his success = LSU's success.

I'd like to know why CLM didn't try coaching during the regular season..I think it was obvious that we'd give Bama a game, but the coaches and the team didn't show up for hardly any of the other games. We're lucky that we played some average to shitty teams this season so we could get 8 wins.

My faith was restored with his coaching changes.

I was very worried that he was going to be too loyal to Malveto the same way that Dinardo was too loyal to Tepper.

Glad to see he understands that friends are friends, but business is business!

I've always supported Les but recognized that he did not do a very good job this year. His strategic blunder with the co-DC's cost the team all year. However, reading a number of posts after the GT game, it seems that some ranters that are not big Les fans now acknowledge that Les has at least consistently proven himself as a very good bowl game coach, maybe the best in the business right now. So I think maybe Les has earned a little faith from some of them.

EDT: that + the coaching changes as the previous poster said.

Never lost faith. At one time or another every program experiences a hiccup.

I really do hope that's all it was...It just seemed that going into his 4th season with all of the coaches & recruits (except Pittman) being his, the team had absolutely no leadership, was horribly coached, and was even called soft by an Ole Miss player.

Maybe Les got a little full of himself after LSU had great luck (which I'll take) getting to play in the BCSNC game and drawing a crappy Big Ten Ohio State team as it's opponent.

i support the guy but i was more frustrated. how could he watch jefferson every day at practice and not see that he deserved a chance. ESPECIALLY since lee was a nightmare.

maybe seeing him at practice everyday gave him the insight as to why he didn't get that chance earlier. How do you know that he would not have been just as bad as Lee if he was thrown into the fire.

There were plenty of times my faith in the QB (whoever it was at the time) was shakey ... but never lost faith in Miles.
