What are some good courses out that way?

Been a few years but we played:
Lost Ball
Tiger Point
I enjoyed both of them, were in good shape when we played.

Lost Ball is always in great shape, but it’s absolutely stupid how tight it is. Also the fairways seem to repel good shots. I’ll never go back there.

I have always liked Lost Key and think this board is way to hard on it.
Gulf Shore CC is a nice. Perdido Key is ok but kind of old.

I played there the first time during the summer. The starter said, “If your ball leave the fairway, do not go get it. We have a lot of water moccasins.” Not the swing thought for me. We saw several, but the one sunning itself on the cartpath had to be about 5’ long & 2.5-3” in diameter.
Have played a couple of times around Thanksgiving & did not have the same experience.

I have rarely seen snakes out there but I have seen quite a few alligators.

It’s always the double digit handicaps bitching about Lost Key

Tiger Pointe haven't played here in about 6 months but I like the place and it can be a fun track. Traffic in that direction can be a bitch depending on time of travel. 25 min drive
Craft Farms pretty good shape and can be spacious for wayward drives. They no longer have a toll on the bridge. 30 min drive.
Lost Key is tough on a higher handicap golfers. Which can really suck for vacation golf.
Perdido Bay is OK and I play in regularly because my place is 3 min away from there, but they need to improve maintenance. Bunkers were crap two weeks ago.

I’ll take alligators over snakes. I can see an alligator from further away & stay away, if necessary.

I still have balls in my bag from walking like 10’ into the woods two summers ago. Balls were everywhere.

I want mine back.

Pensacola cc is the best! If you have a friend who is a member at a club they can get you on reciprocal. It gets billed back to his club. Lost ball is tighter than an airplane bathroom. Gulf shores golf club is primo and public, craft farms and kiva dunes are amazing. Perdito key is mediocre.
