I have an old 16 ft cajun special I'm looking to donate to an organization in the south Louisiana area. I prefer to donate it to a kids or veteran organization.
I've been looking up sites but all seem to be national. Looking for local.
Any organizations do yall know of?
Thank you

I would imagine that most any organization you donate to would be turning around to sell it. It's difficult to store and there are liability issues with vets & kids using boats. Nonetheless, here are some that come to mind with local offices. Even if they sell them, the value could help their mission
Disabled Vets
Wounded Warrior
Vietnam Vets
American Legion
Bridge House
Boy Scouts - could even donate to a local Troop

It doesn't run anymore. Son and I started restoring it but got to be to big of pain in the butt. Want to donate it to a good cause so they can make money off of it

My dad's in the middle of going through this with an offshore boat he wanted to donate. Most non profits that will take a donation of your boat make it a huge hassle for you and all they'll do is haul it to a local auction place without a care whether they get $50 for it or not. If it were me I'd see if I could find a kid that loves to fish to give it to so they can fix it up.
