This might be the first time BK has worn Gold/Purple/Gold in his 2+ years playing in Tiger Stadium

You are correct. In these scenarios we’ve either worn our standard set, W/P/W, or once we wore G/W/W (army).

No, traditionally LSU always wore G/P/G for non-conference games at home, unless first home game (Nicholls). Stuck with that during the Les Miles days at least - Coach O changed it a bit with the all whites or W/P/W.
BK has done it completely differently so far, but maybe he likes the G/P/G now

I believe it happens any time we play a non-conference home game that isn't the home opener or homecoming.
So no more than 1 or 2 times a year, and while not exclusive to the FCS games, that's usually who fills those game slots.

Just looked back - you are correct - in 2022 and 2023 LSU has worn GWG, WPW, or the GWW for our non-conference home games

yeah WPW has been popular lately though.
it’s nice to see GPG.
i do like GWG for big match up.
there is just something fun about always seeing both teams in their #1 jersey.
UCLA and USC both wear home jerseys when they play which is pretty cool to see.
what i think is interesting is that we’ve never done the retro circle logo helmet.
and just in general the circle logo doesn’t end up on more stuff
Also, Did Bert Jones’s jersey say “Bert Jones” on the back?
