When we were down 4 late, I had the feeling we’d pull it out with a 36-33 win. I mistakenly thought that was same score as a big win on road in Athens in 1987 (26-23 but also included a late LSU TD to win).

Like Herbstreit kept saying, getting a W in a game like that can start momentum for the season. It worked for that ‘87 LSU team. Both Tiger teams led by #13 QBs and the day after a Friday the 13th this year

That 1987 season most known for a 13-13 tie.

Most importantly, a sorta vivid memory resurfaced of my dad taking 10 year old me to the Mr Cook drive through while listening to LSU post game show after that 26-23 win in ‘87. Him emphasizing to me the huge difference in getting the W to build on positives (for rest of season) while I was just thinking about those fries with the skins on them I liked so much.

Great game, lots of ups and downs. Was a bit like 03 in that one blown tackle got UGA back in the game on a freak play to a WR.

That team was well known for setting offensive records, Harvey blowing out his knee while we were sleepwalking through the Tulane game, Everybody’s All American being filmed during many different games, and letting Bobby Humphrey arse rape our defense while Mickey Guidry proved he wasn’t ready for prime time.

me and my dad were at that game in the superdome. we were in deep shite late. my dad went to tulane. he was laughing thinking tulane was gonna win until eddie fuller broke off that 20 plus yard TD run to ice it. i was sweating bricks.

wild game. hodson to kinchen TD gave us lead for good.

still needed a kevin guidry INT off of james jackson to ice it.

similar to 2003 when we went up late and corey webster INT iced it.

even similar to 2009 at georgia. late TD run by scott and a perry riley INT i think iced that.

cray wild finishes.

I miss Mr Cook.
We had one in Abbeville that my mom would take me to.
