Guess we couldn’t use a guy like this. Can we move a 4i in run game? LOL
“The guy (Lance Heard) has unbelievable length and natural ability,” Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee said. “Protecting the passer is going to be a big improvement, and he’s just a big human. The ability to go move 4i’s in the run game, I felt like (Darnell Wright), that’s where he changed our run game a lot … I feel like Lance is going to have that ability too.

They're great in pass protection, but they couldn't push a Lucky Dog cart

Seems Heard can move hardest DL to block - 4i.

Really? Nuss has hardly been touched in 2 games. Yes maybe run blocking needs to improve but we will see. Hard to teel from last night since we passed 70 % or more last night because they gave that to us. But the OL is NOT a weakness.

They are a pass blocking unit...but I think they can run block it's just our play caller isn't what I thought he was

Agreed!
we run the SAME RPO run play, or a toss sweep.....
no counters, misdirection.......nothing

Our backs are decent, please give them some daylight!

I don’t think it’s an OL issue, it’s a play calling and scheme issue.

We pass bc we can’t run. My word. Like running into a brick wall all night. Geez. Surely we could he have moved a tackle inside and played him. How much worse at running ball could we be?

Nuss back pedals to stay out of trouble. He was limping from being hit last night - but carry on.

Great tackles. That’s 2/5 OL unfortunately.

2 great OT’s and 1 great OG with Heard - RB that’s 3/5.

I will agree that scheme and play calling in the run game is lacking.

BUT, when you can’t push the Nicholls defensive line back ONE yard, you have either a technique or strength issue. Or both.

We knew we had a ? At center & just hopium hyped our way around it. Obvious that’s going to be an issue this year.

Campbell racking up those false start penalties too. They used to Daniel’s being a miracle maker.

He was clearly one of the best 5. Big loss. Could be dominate with Jones at guard this year and heard at RT.

Correct - we will move mountains to get Stewart at DL, but 5 star OT frick right off. He knew he was better than what we have and wanted to play. My word.
