Thinking about a trip to Playa for a Senior trip for step daughter ( No Pics u pervs) haha… looking for recommendations on where to stay and any other recommendations/ advice. Geaux!

Google images “Playa Del Carmen Seaweed”. I feel like it gets the worst of it out of all of the Caribbean. Is this trip in the winter?

I would recommend Cozumel. A lot safer and honestly better in my opinion.

I agree with looking at west side of Isla Mujeres. There’s still a lot to do there and probably safer.

Playa was great 10 years ago...it has gotten really big/crowded

Do you want a resort or non resort? If resort, just pick whatever resort looks best in cancun/playa. If not a resort, then I'd go for isla or tulum. Both are a good time. I'm not a fan of playa -- it's just a smaller cancun. Isla and tulum both have a unique feel. I'm a bit biased since I have a house in tulum, though

We’re going to do the resort route, we’re planning a day to go to Cozumel. Doesn’t make sense to stay on Cozumel and take multiple boat trips to the mainland.
