A week in the continental US?
I would go for the California wine country.
Paso Robles to Napa via the Pacific Coast Hwy.

Or Key West and the Florida Keys.

Charleston, Maine, Napa, Sedona, Palm Springs, Key West. Not sure what you like to do, but all these have both fun activities, good food, great accommodations and are fun and easy to get to.

Go to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms (hopefully). These pictures were taken April 4th. The bloom time varies year to year.

If you don't want to spend a week in DC you could go east to for a few days. See places such as Cape May, NJ, or the eastern shore of Maryland or Virginia - google St. Michales, MD (on Chesapeake Bay) or Chincoteague, VA (on the Atlantic) for ideas. Could go to Williamsburg, VA.

Or you could go west from DC to the Shenandoah Valley, Shenandoah Nat. Park & the Skyline Drive if it is open. The Inn at Little Washington, VA is expensive ($1,000+-/night depending) but I think that price does include dinner. There are a number of small towns in the Shenandoah Valley from Lexington, VA to Harpers Ferry, WV that you can check out.

Lancaster PA and the Amish country is north of DC about 2 1/2 hours.

Other than the sights in DC there are a lot of places to visit within a few hours drive.

What do you and your wife like to do? We spent our 10th, 20th and 30th anniversry at Pebble Beach (I like to play golf and she likes the spa and food) and then finished with a week in Napa (we both like food and wine). We have our 40th next year and are thinking of doing a rinse and repeat. On our 5 year anniversaries increments, we usually go to Europe. Congrats on your 10 year anniversary!

LINK your dates are right in the sweet spot for the tulips at keukenhof gardens in Holland. I know you said a US trip, but you might consider amsterdam. Beautiful gardens.

Thank you everyone! I guess you could call us more of a “boring” couple lol. We would probably be most excited about getting a break from the kids at a nice, relaxing resort, with cool shopping and dining in the area.

Sedona seems to check off a lot of those boxes.

Well, that rules out Hedonism II.

RE: Tennessee. I guess. If so, I've had friends stay at Blackberry Farms. Loved it. Very pricy.

California would actually check a lot of boxes. Monterrey. Carmel. Mendocino. Check out the Ventana Inn.

One of our best trips ever was to the Olympic Pennisula in Washington. Stayed at Crescent Lake Lodge.

If you’re thinking Sedona maybe simplify and look at Old Towne Scottsdale. Great hotel/resort options, easy to walk, really solid food and the weather should be really good that time of year.
Do a day trip up to Sedona
