Obviously, Miles was pissed at Johnson, perhaps because of his pre-game comments, because there is NO WAY he makes those calls in a similar circumstance. It was clear to everyone watching the game with me that this was the case. I thought the reporters covering the game would expand on this but they didn't.

So were the Miami people in '05 over the three. Get over it.

'05 Peach Bowl against the Canes. I think it's more of a recruiting tool. Kids love that stuff.

completely agree "its not our teams job to stop our team"

i don't think it was classless. I think it was good coaching.

well...its true that spurrier isn't exactly renowned for his classiness...

You may be right, but the long passes late in the game suggested something else. Miles does not generally rub it in. There was something else in play.

Very classless of PJ to say they deserved an opponent that was ranked higher

"LOL. The same people saying this are the same ones who hate Meyer, Ole Ball Coach, Stoops, and Carroll for running up the score on opponents. But because LSU does it, its ok. "

Nope...once again your sweeping, moronic generalizations are often wrong. Both UF coaches are winners, and better than Saban because they know how to close the deal.

it was awesome, greatly schemed play, first time I've seen one run like that, they usually pass to the outside

It should not have upset too many of them. I was there and only saw about ten thousand GT fans left. It was just nice to be a "first-half" team instead of chasing a deficit all game!

I think the primary reasons for throwing the ball late were not to run up the score. If he was trying to do this, he could have marched down the field on a sustained drives as they had been doing. Until that point, JJ had only thrown short to intermediate passes. I think Les just wanted to get him some real game experience throwing the deep ball. Secondly, I think he was also doing it to leave an impression of what our QB situation looks like for the future to some high profile recruits.

As far as the fake punt, where is it written that late in a game you must make every attempt to give the opposing team the ball, in order for them to try to get back in the game. I think it was a great call. No reason to give GT anymore opportunities than they deserved.
