Does anyone use these for themselves? I've been seeing some videos on how these work.

Basically, it's creating a scrape and the rope helps keep the scents on there longer. I've read the first year is really the only year you have to put scent on it because once they find it, they get their natural scents all over it.

From what I've read about them, people seem to love them and it helps centralize the deer.

I think I'm going to try one out, just curious if anyone has any experience with them.

Tried it last year in Ascension parish, ended up cutting the rope in a few sections to try in multiple areas. No success having deer consistently check it / work it. Had a few check it initially but never pay it much attention after.

Gotcha. Interesting concept if it works out I guess.

Same in Ouachita Parish I have deer in my yard so I hung a few here also. Nothing.

A friend has seen some decent results in Iowa. We saw nothing in Alabama.

Just listened to a podcast on this. Said these need to be placed in spring to be weathered and scent free prior to the season. Putting a fresh rope out this time of year wouldn’t work near as well.

Slightly off topic, but for years we would tie a piece of fishing line from the stand and route it to a tree on the opposite side of the food plot or clearing. It would have a decent enough drop so we could hang a paperclip on the line, with a piece of burlap soaked in doe-in-heat scent and a small weight. The clip with the doe scent would slide down to the other end and be suspended a few feet above the ground. Worked on young bucks every season.
