*Updated w/ Pic* Fishing around Bay St. Louis

In-laws rented a lake house in BSL for the holiday weekend. I plan to bring my boat and am looking to spend most of the weekend fishing. Not looking for anyone's secret spot but would like to know what type of fish to focus on and where to look.
The boat I'm taking is a 20' center console. Considering heading to Cat Island one day if the weather allows but am content to fish the marsh and bay if that's where the fish are.
Update: Really appreciate all of the suggestions from this board. We ended up having a great weekend even with the hit-or-miss weather.
Caught redfish, drum, and flounder at Taylor's reef and enjoyed exploring the marsh around the bay. Monday the weather finally cleared and we made the run out to Isle au Pitre. Hard fishing but we stumbled upon some pylons on a nearby island that held a mess of dinner plate sized flounder and were able to come home with an ice chest full.

I know the coordinates for a spot where a baw stacked a pile of Christmas trees.

Check out Tommy Vidrine's YouTube channel. He's been smoking big trout lately.
Looks like you need to grab some live croakers from the Pass Harbor and make the crossing to the LA marsh.
Check out Flatboat Key.
Good luck.

You better have a radar on board. You do not want to get caught out there in a bay boat with a Summer thunderstorm. Ask me how I know.

Good spot. Will likely have some company there. Cat Island is good fish the western end on south side. Isle Au Pitre is a good spring/summer area. The close in reefs made out of concrete rubble can be good for a mixed bag. Look for birds and schools of reds/jacks if you want to mess with those. Should be some out there between shore and Cat Island.
Check crab pot balls and pilings for tripletail.

That is what I did when I used to fish out of BSL.

Came here to say this, he's always on some hammers out there.

Check the seas forecast and keep an eye on the weather when you are out front. I used to fish the Biloxi marsh pretty much every weekend out of BSL in my 19' CC and there were a few rides in that had me reconsidering life decisions

will be hit or miss this time of year. There are a few Mississippi fishing groups on facebook you can join to get daily reports

This as well. The concrete piles that are a mile or so southwest of the BSL bridge are usually good for a mixed bag of black drum, redfish, trout, sheepshead.
If you decide to fish pitre make a stop on the way at cabbage reef and see if the trout are there. It was on fire (live croakers on the bottom) about a month ago. Haven't been out there since
If the weather doesn't allow you to get out front you can fish the bay bridges or troll the marsh between Diamondhead and Bay St Louis and pick up a fish here and there
Keep in mind if you fish Louisiana waters you can not stop in Mississippi waters on the way back in.

I fish out there often. Flat Boat has been good of late but you will have to cover a bunch of open water. Cat island is the same and has been hit or miss. Before I tried any of those, I would grab some live shrimp and hit jailhouse reef. Fish the shrimp with a drop shot type rig. Weight on the bottom and kale hook about 16" ontop, Fish the outside of the rocks and if you can fish where the 2 lines of rocks almost connect. This spot has been my go to this time of year. It is Mississippi water so a Miss license is required. It is a longer ride but the silos near gulfport harbor have been decent (a Tommy V special). Sain Stanaslaus Pier is also a good spot to try with live bait but if you don't catch in the first 20-30 casts, I'd move along. The Taylor reef that is straight out from the bridge has also been OK and I fish that with drop shot and carolina. That reef will likely be full of boats and pressured. In the bay itself there is an island where the wolf river comes out. Fish the cannels and points there for flounder reds and trout. We have caught bass farther in. When it is windy, the family and I stick to those points and channels and we typically do well again with live bait, We fish those with poppers and drop shots on the points.

Was actually a Louisiana resident so I did not have to deal with that.

WPBTiger may have it backwards. Not sure if he is aware that Mississippi has been raising their license prices year over year

Fished Cat Isl. back in May, not much wind on the way out but got a little rough on the way back to the launch. Fished the west side and caught a lot of trout, but only 6 keepers and one good door mat. License was only like 30 bucks for a 3/5 day can't remember, cheap.

There might be one on board 1/100 boats out there every weekend. Yes, the sound can get rough quickly, but just pay attention. It's only 8 miles from the Pass. Good spots to duck and hide in the N side of cat too.
As far as fishing spots, plenty good ones already mentioned.

I was a Louisiana resident. We would leave out of BSL. We would not fish in Mississippi waters. No Mississippi license required (this was 25-30 years ago, so not sure if it has changed).

It’s the same. You just can’t stop in Miss waters. Green jeans does watch for it

Appreciate all of the responses. I downloaded a map of the artificial reefs and plan to hit some of those. Will head to the LA marsh if weather allows but if not plan to fish the inlets to the bay some as well.
Looking forward to a weekend on the water!
