Screw the intersection at Highland and Siegen heading North on Highland.

Siegen isn’t really part of Baton Rouge, isn’t that where all the parkview people live?

A very small portion is in BR. It’s where the homeless live.

I heard him interviewed recently. To paraphrase, he said we wouldn’t get where we were going any faster, but we’d be certain of the time it took to get there.

It’s honestly impressive that they managed to make Siegen traffic even worse. The Siegen/I-10 interchange is a complete disaster now. And it went from OK to disaster overnight.
I started a thread when it happened.. the light at Reiger turns green when the light at I-10 is red, and vice versa.
Coincidentally, it happened right after StG incorporated. Just saying.

The traffic backs up way down the inbound exit ramp. There is only one right turn lane.
On the other hand they added a second left turn lane and in comparison hardly anyone goes left.
And yes the light at that Waffle House stops everybody, and when it finally turns green the light at Target turns red.

The lights in BR have been perfectly synchronized for years. They’re timed to make sure every car has to stop at every light.

Siegen is the only road I refuse to drive on unless I have no choice. It’s a death trap.
