Does anyone have the story on these ‘Ain’t there no more’ Hammond bars?

That’s what piqued my curiosity and why I started this thread.

Drove by the other day and the bars were all gone.

I hope they cleansed the hell out of that place before the church was put up.

I’m just trying to figure out what ultimately caused their demise. They were hugely popular bars.

I haven’t been in Hammond since the 90s, but there may be a clue that my buddy from Bogalusa and I called Marley’s “Brawleys.”

Ah, the good old days of me carrying him to the car so he could drive us back to bogalusa. It’s no wonder I failed out of LSU that time, testosterone outweighed brain cells.

I used to ride my bike across campus to Mickey's and chain it to that big pointing arrow sign with the block letters.

Man, a lot of that time period in life is kind of a blur now. Like I remember something crazy that happened, but don't remember the bar we were at.
