My wife’s birthday is Sunday, I brought her out to eat at The District in Ponchatoula. Had Voodoo egg rolls for an app, she had chicken and waffles, I had Cajun pasta, a double Jack and Coke for a beverage because I don’t think they had milk. :( Gave her some kinda molten turtle cake thingie for desert. :)

That’s a compromise I can get behind.

We tried out Ninos after a long time since last visit.

French 75
Strawberry Basil Gimlet
Bottle of Cabernet
White wine mussels
Shrimp and caper type pasta
Ground ribeye bolognese
Panna cotta

How was it? I saw they recently underwent a change of ownership.

Started to get the burger because of your past comments but decided to go with the pasta. Will need to try it soon.

Food was 10/10. We had a very nice time.

Someone mentioned them trying to get you out of there fast, and while I truly don’t think that was our server’s intent, I can understand how someone might think that if they got one of the less experienced ones like we did. He was just nervous so around a LOT. But it was fine! We weren’t in the mood to linger super long anyway.
