This honestly just pisses me off that the saints had a decade to pair cam Jordan with an elite rusher and win a SB, and never could do it.

Great point there!
It seems like the falcons are stellar at reeling in those older players that can still somewhat perform.. particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

Won't help them vs the saints. The difference between Judon and a UDFA going against Penning is negligible.

That was my point. Judon can't get to the QB any faster than immediately.

Falcons did the "sign the FA QB" move right. They're pretty stacked and primarily just needed a QB and edge.
Got the QB (a superior one to Carr by a mile) and just got the edge for a 3rd.
They have a very strong OL, potentially elite RB, and what could be a great receiving corps (lots of elite talent without productivity)
Their D is a bigger question mark but it was OK last year. Pretty mediocre. They are installing a new scheme but are being guided by an elite defensive head coach. Edge was a huge issue and they just fixed that cheaply.
I wouldn't say they're a SB contender yet without seeing them, but they definitely could be if Morris gets the D above-average and the new offense can unlock Bijan and their elite receiving talent. Their offense could be legitimately scary.

I doubt he gets more than 2 years. He doesn't want crazy money. Had 4 sacks in 4 games last yr.

They need more than just an edge. They have nothing there. Judon will help for sure but they had nothing there.

Their D was pretty mid last year without any sort of edge and an inferior system. I'm not saying it will be great, but it should stay in that middle tier at worst and might edge into the lower part of good.
Also, an underreported aspect of signing Cousins with their offense is he has played in this offense for a long time and already knows it. We signed Carr (who has trouble learning new offenses), who had no relationship to the offense we were running. Now we're doing it again.
