the ones who said he would never fire his buddies, could never manage a strong hire, would never get O as a DL, who said the new DC would bring in his own guys, who said Miles was fricking this up beyond repair and would be fired in two years?

Look, I'm a Miles Maniac, but he was very much deserving of a lot of the criticism he got. This year was pretty terrible. What's exciting, though, is that as bad as this year was, we still went 7-5 and were in every game we played. It shouldn't take much to get us back to 10-2.

They're going to wait til our first three and out or the first 1st down we give up next year, and come running with, "I told you we hired the wrong guy(s)"

I have been very critical of Miles.

quote:

said he would never fire his buddies

I never said this, but was concerned he would be too loyal as was most people here.

quote:

could never manage a strong hire

never said it
quote:

would never get O as a DL

never said it
quote:

who said the new DC would bring in his own guys,

I said the opposite
quote:

who said Miles was fricking this up beyond repair and would be fired in two years

I said I was concerned about the direction of the program, but never said it was unfixable. I also said for better or worst LSU and Miles were stuck with each other for at least the next 3-5 years.

I give Miles credit for seriously upgrading his staff. He realized he needed the best money could by and he got the funding approved.

You just made yourself look like an idiot.

He didn't fire Peveto or Mallory...they took other jobs so therefore he didn't have to fire them.

no telling if it will work, but definitely is an upgrade. The most important part is that Les isn't hard headed on his asst. coach hires a la Dinardo. Still think next year is rocky unless we get much better QB play. Hard to imagine no improvement on D.

JJ with a full spring and fall taking first team helps should do wonders.

Add in Shep coming in for spring. He should be able to handle a slash role to give us a spark.

Most don't know CLM roots and where he came from he's old school. This is not his first rodeo he's seen just about everything that you can imagine happen to a program or pro team. Why people think he don't know his shite is beyond me?

I think by the Spring Game, Shep will be our best QB. Will he be the starter? who knows? But the kid works harder than anyone Ive seen, and he can throw the ball ALOT better than people think. JJ really hasnt impressed me as much as he impresses some other people. But between the two, I think we'll have a dynamic offense.

I dont think J Lee or Hatch will see the field much next year...J Lee has a great arm, but not great vision and zero mobility. Hatch cant throw the ball more than 25 yards.

He'll be our best running QB as soon as he enrolls at LSU. Give him some time on the passing part.

What do you want people to say? Miles screwed up royally this year and lost his team in the process. How would you feel last year if the Arky game actually kept us out of the NC? How do you feel knowing we had the best team in the country in '06 and still didn't play in the title game? Miles is good, but not great.
