They are consolidating, not doing this unfortunately. That conference would be sick with a few minor changes obv

Uhh, when were Penn State, Michigan State, or Ohio State ever affiliated with the Big East?

And why would any current Big Ten member ever remotely consider leaving that conference in any scenario?

I miss Big East football. It wasn't SEC or Big Ten, but there was some decent football there

It was one of the best and most fun conferences.

The only Big East that matters is Big East basketball.

Hell yeah. West Virginia, Miami, Virginia Tech and Rutgers/Syracuse when they were good..man those were the best prime time college football games. I kind of feel bad for people that were too young to see it. Those Thursday night Big East games had some of the best atmospheres, announcers and exciting finishes.

Plenty of star power too with McNabb, Pat White, Ray Rice, Larry Fitzgeald, Vick, all the great Miami players, etc

Yep. Thursday nights were awesome for BE games.

I'd add also Cincy going to the big east was a huge help for their program and even Uconn had some decent squads in those days.

Take 95 as an example and make a switch and big change with Penn State and you would have a fun conference

1. Va Tech
2. WVU
3. Miami
4. Cuse
5. Pitt
6. Rutgers
7. BC
8. Louisville replaces Temple
9. Penn State

The OG Big East can be a division within the B1G.
