Currently, numerous emergency personnel and Hazmat crews are on the scene in Theodore, Alabama, following an explosion at a chemical plant. Officials report that a railcar containing hydrogen peroxide exploded at the Evonik Industries chemical plant, damaging two buildings. Evonik’s Theodore plant is the company’s largest in North America and is involved in the production of chemical products for various industries. No serious injuries have been reported, and the cause of the accident will be investigated

It's 15 miles away and your first concern is an Airbus plant?

Just put peroxide on a paper cut, #metoo. It’s a dangerous world, be careful out there.

Probably lost refrigeration. It's probably not like the stuff we use at home. Almost guarantee it is pure peroxide and not diluted and if so organic peroxides will start self decomposing once they get above freezing and then boom. Similar thing happened at the Westlake plant in Geismar years ago. They were using organic peroxides in their PVC reactors and the building lost its refrigeration unit and it went up.
