Love the debate around policy and hearing other ideas of how to fix things. What do y’all think of my 4 points and if they suck (maybe so) what would be better?

1. Implement his previous energy policy. Gas and energy prices come down and eventually prices of every day goods slide down too.

2. Close the border. Lessens demand for low cost housing from illegals paying cash for rent. Cash rent is always inflated.

3. Make it illegal to rent to anyone in our country without a SS# or green card here to work. Take away housing for illegals and they’ll deport themselves. I hate adding red tape to housing owners but this would expedite deportations. After 24 months let the law expire and give tax credits to those that abide by the law.

4. Give illegals 60 days to leave freely. Anyone caught after that will be deported and never have an opportunity for citizenship the rest of their life. If the border is secure then this would incentivize them to leave and also penalize them staying.

Ok, authoritarian. I guess if you can’t leave in 2 months, due to health or some other issue. You’re no longer eligible to EVER get citizenship.

5. Eliminate all foreign aid especially to Ukraine.

I see your point. But if you’re healthy enough to come you’re probably healthy enough to leave. There’s always going to be these exceptions that pull at your heart strings. But if your not here legally you don’t get the privileges the rest of us get.

It doesn't seem like oil and gas is all that high right now. I know it was at times in the past few years.
If it goes too low, you end up screwing up the industry and thus lots of good paying jobs.

The border absolutely needs to be secured. And that's the most doable item on your list.

Getting rid of the millions of people Biden has let in is a lot harder.

I think the rental idea could work, if you could get something like that passed. The problem with all of the initiatives to deport illegals is that an executive order would simply be overturned by the next Democratic POTUS, and you have to rely on local law enforcement to enforce whatever you put in place. And in a lot of places they won't do it.

I'm not sure how some of the details of what you propose would be feasible, such as giving tax credits to people who abide by the law. How would the IRS know? It's not as though someone's going to tell them if they aren't, and taxes are self-reported.

Yeah. Let’s say a 50 year old woman comes over here to pick cabbages. Her visa expires. She has a stroke working the fields. The govenrment says any illegal or undocumented immigrant must leave within 60 days. She’s in the hospital for 2 months, with no health insurance. And because of this. She can never get citizenship in the united states ever.

This is a really sound idea.

1. Take the brakes off the energy sector, yes.
2. Close the border, entirely. The whole border must be sealed. Probably will have to move to seal the northern border as well.
3. Enforce existing laws regarding activities of and with invaders.
4. Must incentivize self-deportation otherwise people will take their chances and remain.

Our economy is stable. That’s the problem. Regulations and more government are handicapping real growth.

Let’s peel back all the Biden EOs, the unnecessary rules govt. created, and let’s control our border so that our economy can expand.

They've committed a crime by being here.

Is it authoritarian to take away the right to carry a firearm if someone's been convicted of a felony?

Because it's the same principle.

So the woman you just hypothesized committed a crime and also cost American citizens who are here legally tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills.

Why the frick would we ever want to grant her citizenship?

I love this detailed fictitious story you've made up in your head that somehow justifies destroying our country with limitless immigration.

What was his energy policy exactly? I'm assuming it has to do with drilling permits, but as of last year we're producing more oil than at any point of the Trump presidency so will that have any real impact.

Border is currently closed via executive order currently, yes? If not, please correct me.

I've never rented from any place in the last decade that didn't already require my SS# to apply. The real answer here is to find better solutions to combat social security fraud. I don't know what those solutions are, but no one else seems to either.

So you agree, that if someone cannot return due to a health issue, or similar circumstance. They should be declined the chance of bettering their life. By becoming a US citizen. For life?

Here's a hint you dipshite. No one is coming to pick anything. They're coming for free shite...that is paid for by you and me....that is, if you have a job and not on the dole yourself.
