Has he said anything about reducing spending? Anything at all?

I ask, because that is our problem, and the debt will continue to spiral out of control, like it has since 2000, if he again does nothing about it.

I agree that something needs to be done about the debt, but it seems as if you are implying that the democrats would do something about the debt. They are the real problem with all of their spending to buy votes.

If he gets that reversed, it will piss off the Clinton's and Al Gore. They are the ones who got the tax passed on the old folk. Al Gore was the deciding vote as the VP! 50-51

But, Democrats are for the old folk.

I thought the taxation of Social Security started while Reagan was in office?

He has to get in office first, or we won’t have a country.

Then we will need a Congress and Senate to get things done.

But it all hinges on Trump getting in. So the next 4 months are all about that. And this wins a huge aging population who is fighting Bidenflation.

SS Tax started in 1984 under Reagan.

If Trump had any plans to reduce spending (which I highly, highly doubt), you wouldn't hear about it because that narrative doesn't buy votes like this narrative does.

I'm not criticizing him for basically campaigning the way every other politician does (there's a reason they do it—it works in our society in which we foolishly allow any adult who can fog a mirror to vote for POTUS), but anybody who still thinks Trump is an "outsider" or is "anti-establishment" in the sense that he is going to govern significantly differently than any other Republican (or for that matter, any Democrat when it comes to spending) is a dullard and a fool.

Which means that people have been paying taxes on it about as long as they didn't since it started.

You get taxed on your full pay and don’t get to deduct social security. So either allow a deduction or treat it like a Roth IRA.

Yes, spending should be reduced.

Taxing RSDI benefits is insane. It's funded with the recipients tax dollars so you're taxing taxes.

.

Both sides overspend at an unsustainable rate. When Biden ends this nightmare in November, he will have overspent in four years by 8 trillion, the exact same amount Trump overspent.

Some potential voters have no place to go.

Gas lighting. Blacks don't vote Dem, they don't vote in great enough numbers to matter. The black vote is the easiest to steal so the media tells you that blacks vote 95% filth so when the results show that you believe it.

A3. The taxation of Social Security began in 1984 following passage of a set of Amendments in 1983, which were signed into law by President Reagan in April 1983. These amendments passed the Congress in 1983 on an overwhelmingly bi-partisan vote.

Up to fifty percent of SS income was subject to tax. In 1993 Clinton and Congress raised that to 85 percent.

This should not even be an issue. Of course they should NOT pay taxes on this microscopically minimal return they are receiving from all of the money stolen from their paychecks throughout their work careers.
