Palisades Zoysia Questions

I have a patch of bermuda in my Zoysia lawn. Is Fuisliade II and Recognition my only remedy?
Also, the zoysia is growing super fast right now and it's difficult to keep it mowed to the right height. It's also time for more fertilizer. Should I go ahead and apply SR nitrogen or since it is growing so well, let it be?

Yes, those in combination are your only option. If the zoysia is thick and has good color you can do an iron application if you want.

The grass is super healthy. It's just a couple of patches of maybe 4' squares that are relatively solid Bermuda. Will the iron help with the Bermuda problem?

I know it’s comparing “apples to oranges”, but my Empire zoysia “patch” tops out at about 3”, even with all the rain this year. It has a good green color, looks healthy and uniform. I haven’t fertilized this year.
My point is, let the fertilizing go and see how it does until it gets maybe a lighter green.

Iron won’t help or hurt Bermuda. It’s more for color than growth.

I put zoysia down everywhere now.....best grass IMO.

I never really had a plush lawn or irrigation system growing up or even in my first two houses. We put a pool in and as soon as the pool was done, I put in an irrigation system and sodded 20 pallets of Zoysia. It was a little more expensive than other grasses, but damn the money was so worth it. I still need about 10 more pallets to finish off my backyard so I'll probably do that in the spring. It's like walking on cotton when it's healthy.

Yep, and much more resistant to insects, fungus, etc., too.....I'm done with St Aug and Centipede.

Is palisades still the go to? I need to fill in some spots and allow it to overtake old centipede

Yes, I love it and had good success in full sun and full shade....and doesn't grow so fast and high.
I have an acre, and put down 1 pallet every January to fill in where the Aug and Cent fails.
