Are you buying that they could potentially get a two year bowl ban?

quote:

According to Chris Balas of TheWolverine.com, the NCAA is prepared to issue a Notice of Allegations against Michigan as soon as Tuesday. Per Balas’ report, Michigan is expected to be hit with Level I violations for the off-campus, in-person scouting operation led by former staffer Connor Stalions.

According to Balas‘ report, a source indicated that the NCAA could seek to ban Michigan from the postseason for one or two years. Michigan is expected to fight back against any postseason ban, and it’s unlikely the ban would go into effect this year, as Michigan’s appeal is unlikely to be heard by the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions until 2025.

Michigan’s national championship and wins from the last three seasons are not expected to be vacated.

so punish players and staff members who had nothing to do with it but don't do anything to the players/coaches who did. Never change NCAA

Ah, but LSU had to vacate 37 wins for something that goes on every day now, and something that went on every day then.

IF ONLY Harbaugh could just threaten to quit again and it would magically disappear.

Giving them a post season ban without vacating anything would be kind of funny. NCAA would essentially be admitting they should have been blocked from the playoffs last season.

The Big 10 could've banned them from postseason play like the SEC did to us back in the 80s.

There's just way too much money involved now. I'm pretty sure they would've if Michigan had 2 losses or more.

That's how time works. When you are punishing organizations, the people within those organizations are always changing.

There is no way to freeze time and punish the people who WERE there.

And there is no way to punish people who are no longer within the jurisdiction of the NCAA, like Harbaugh or any players who have gone to the NFL.

The NCAA doesn't even control the CFP.

LOL

Doesn’t carry the fear that it used to. They will get sued and lose, or just tuck tail and settle.

I don't understand how they will do nothing to the teams that based on the evidence, even at the NCAA level, were gaining an advantage but somehow think a future post-season ban could be the way

Literally they knew in October last year and let Michigan finish out a regular season and playoff season, when they knew they cheated to accomplish those feats. It was an actual opportunity for the NCAA to take action during the season and show some balls. Expediate the appeal process/do whatever you have to do to verify that they did or did not get to compete in a B1G title game or the playoffs, which they actually won.
