Thanks for any info

Search tiger droppings Boston
A huge very informative thread will appear with anything you could want to know
Or if you’re lucky, Abita will see the thread title and chime in and answer any questions you have. He’s a good guy and has helped many a travel board poster on their Boston itinerary ( me included )

Time of year? I ask because that’s going to be a big factor with hotel prices.
Where to eat is hard to answer without more specifics such as what food you’re looking for and what neighborhoods you’ll be in. There are a lot of options.
Are you a beer person? Will you be alone, with someone else, with kids, etc.?
I’d definitely love to help, but you have to give me more to go on.

Probably around May or first of June. My wife and I, Fenway is a bucket list item for me, so we are in our fifties. Just someone nice to stay in a good area walking distance to bars and restaurants if we can. Definitely enjoy good beer!

May and early June can still be cooler than you’d think, so be prepared for that. But it’s a nice time to be in New England.
For hotels, I’d stick around the Back Bay/Beacon Hill area, if not near downtown. If you can spend the money, look at the Verve. Newer, “hipper” hotel but it’s feet away from Fenway Park. Fairmont Copley is another option.
As for beer, I always recommend:
Trillium
Harpoon (get the pretzel)
Lamplighter
Night Shift

I was really impressed with Aeronaut Brewing in Sommerville, both the atmosphere and beer were great.

Yes. I should have included aeronaut on that list. Good call.

We ran into a couple from Texas at a Boston bar last night. The husband is a big Sox fan, and his wife gave him the trip for his birthday. She bought some package with stadium tour, special perks and access. They got lots of good pics, some with Judge at BP at the Yankees game last Friday night. You might look into that if this is a big bucket list trip. Those folks were still beaming about it two days later.

Just got back from a trip with my kid. The duck boat tour is pretty fun and informative assuming you get a good guide. Science museum is insane. We planned on spending the morning there and finding something else to do later....ended up staying there all day. As far as food, we particularly enjoyed pizza from Regina, breakfast at Scali Cafe, and doughnuts from Kane's. Boston is a really cool town. It felt safe basically walking anywhere, which is not something I've experienced before in a city of that size.

Marriott Copley Place is fantastic and great location. About 15 minutes to walk to Fenway and 20 to the Harbor
