I was 14 when the last college football video game came out and still played it for years and years after. Now there’s a new ncaa game out, first one in a decade, with the ACTUAL players!

Meanwhile I’m stuck in rural town in a third country without even a TV much less a PS5. I know it’s not reality but can someone fill me in on how good LSU seems in the game? Have yall been making and winning playoffs? What players have emerged as stars? Any surprises or challenges?

I must live vicariously through you all until the sweet day comes that I’m back in a country that even knows what college football is outside of a U20 soccer team

Mason Taylor catches literally everything.

Nuss has a cannon and scrambles like a mad man

Receivers are ok, Kaleb jackson is a monster

Defensive backs get absolutely cooked if you play on heisman.

All is correct from the poster below, just to add, Will Campbell completely anchors the the left side of the line, when he locks up on a pass rusher, he doesn't let go unless he pancakes them

Offense is really explosive, Watkins is blazing fast , Taylor is a mismatch and the defense is awful whether in man or zone coverage.

Mason Taylor is insanely good.

Whole O line just mashes all game long.

Weeks #40 has a 6 pack and shuts down run games at the line of scrimmage.

Defensive Line surprisingly good

Is gameplay more like madden or ncaa14?

Offense is super good. The two transfer WRs are stellar. Defense is awesome if you let the computer play it.

Neither. The adaptive AI is like playing the computer that knows what your move is based on what you call. It is freaky. You have to have football knowledge to be decent. You can't cheese like you could in madden. I'm good at calling defense and few times the AI has baited me into calling a blitz and the a-hole does the perfect counter.

Currently playing on All-American but about to bump it up because I'm getting the hang of it.

Oh and wait until you play on the road like at Bama. No longer does the play sheets have the W/R/T route buttons so you can guess. Then the play starts and all the buttons switch.

Zavion Thomas is a beast in the game, honestly didn't know who he was until I played the game.

My dynasty is with Virginia Tech. On all American I threw so many interceptions and couldnt stop the pass, especially on 3rd downs, to save my life.
About halfway through the season I went down to varsity difficulty.

Offense is good across the board. Nuss can throw.

Defense can be good but gives up a *lot* of big plays, chasing receivers and runners all over the field. (I honestly think some of that is that the game AI needs to be tuned up a bit...I've seen things that really don't seem realistic, no matter what the defense is.) I've found it plays best in man with a little zone mixed in. Beat down Alabama last night and it was so, so satisfying.

Strangely, every time I play Arkansas it's a battle no matter what. (Sort of like real life, I guess.)

I *hate* the band wears purple uniforms. And there's no pregame at all. (Nor Neck, that I've heard.) It's also a little annoying I have to manually set the white unis on the road. All they did was swap home and away.

I also don't understand why we have a sideline cannon now.

Generically, something's not quite right with lighting. If I play a 6pm game, it stays 6pm the whole game, and when playing in a dome (like in Atlanta) players look like the field is lighting them a bunch. Maybe an XBox thing, I don't know.

Also not quite sure the AI is doing a great job on the rankings and CFP teams. Was odd to see Texas State get in.

Took a bit to get used to recruiting. Seems like a LOT of polish needs to happen there - too limiting, verbal commits seem to be locks (hahaha), nothing about NIL (not that I *want* NIL to be in the game...)

But overall super fun to play, and super fun to win back-to-back-to-back nattys!

I only play head2head at the moment online. Nuss has a quick release and very accurate. The running game is average. Lacy and Taylor are unguardable majority of the time.

The defense is arse unless you play man to man. Major Burns is better on the game than in real life.

Idk. Still cant connect to EA servers even with having the game early access. I can play quick single games. And that was fun though.

So it’s realistic. USC may put up 60.

I'm up early this morning on my PS5, enjoying my staycation, let me show you this shite from last that had my cursing out the TV

All American dificulity - didn't matter if I was running man, cover 2, 3, or 4.

Zachariah Branch is busted in this game, or we need serious help at corner.

He absolutely cooked and I mean deep-fried, baked and roasted Jyaire Brown, look at this stat line. And he dropped another 40+ yarder that he would have scored a touchdown on
