My just have missed them before, but why are there cameras on #14 at Carter?
Are there others?

They got tired of this board complaining about the pace of play. Now they can send out drone strikes when they see slow play on camera.

The par 3 water left? Is it an ace cam with a feed to the club house? No clue either, seems odd. Our group won’t be going back due to price and pace of play.

Price is getting ridiculous. We played there this weekend, carts on path - not a big deal...BUT carts were shutting down on the cart path MULTIPLE times asking us to return to path.

what are they charging now for a round?

Dang, I played there back in April; and it certainly wasn't $110.
Nice course, but no where near that nice.

That's how we felt - pretty nice but not $110 nice. The late June weather trying to kill us didn't help either.

Their site says $95 each for the weekend morning, but tax will bump it up some and range balls would put you around $110 probably.
I went a few months ago on a weekend and it was $80.

Us too. And then you have to eat there, unless you are on meth so add another $25 and $20 in gas and add two extra hours for commuting. Just not worth it.

It is a way to live bet on that par 3.

The BetMGM news comes as ReelGOLF prepares to install its Par 3 Challenge technology at Gold Canyon Golf Resort in Phoenix - both the Dinosaur Mountain and Sidewinder courses - and Carter Plantation Golf Course in Springfield, La., which is part of the Audubon Trail. Both installations are on track to be completed and available to players by the end of March.
"When we first met the ReelGOLF team, we were blown away by the capabilities of the technology and what the opportunity will mean for our course from both a player engagement and a revenue-generating standpoint," said Courtney Waters, VP of Marketing at Carter Plantation. "Knowing that we are one of the first courses to adopt this game-changing technology makes it even more exciting because it gives us the opportunity to reinvigorate the Audubon Trail, boosting the game of golf and tourism as a whole in Louisiana, all while giving our golfers the chance to feel like they are playing on the PGA TOUR."

Is this a new rate? I haven’t played out there recently but I seem to remember it always being around 60.
Not worth the drive from NOLA for 110 bucks.

$100 seems fair IMO.
It's peers (TPC LA, Golden Nugget, Koasati Pines, Tamahka) in the Louisiana public golf scene are all around or above that price point.
The drive does suck though

A 5hr $110 round will definitely be remembered.

It's a supply and demand thing. There's going to be a lag for a bit, but at some point the number of rounds will drop bc of the cost, pace of play will get faster, and the course won't have as much wear and tear because of the limited number of rounds. However, because of the increased price, they hope to net the same amount of profit.

I understand that approach but in the current economic climate that is a risky move. I wish them the best.
