For those who wanted Leslie to rape and pillage his whole defensive coaching staff immediately after the Arkansas game, this is for you:

It is now obvious that he had a plan all along and didn't completely have his head up his arse, as many of you have implied. The way this all worked out was best for all involved and make Leslie, our program, and our departing coaches look very classy. LSU gets the high-profile DC it wants, Peveto and Mallory got to exit on their own terms, which they very much deserved for their service to LSU, and Miles didn't have to fire his guys publicly.

For the dumbasses who say "if he had named Chavis DC from the beginning, we would have sold more bowl tickets and there would be more excitement for the bowl", I say to you That is an idiotic argument.

Leslie did this right. Now it is time to get off his back and see how it plays out.

So you are saying even a nuclear meltdown couldn't kill the rantards?

Many of the rantards (including Dandy Don) wanted a public humiliation of Malveto and a quick annoucement. Miles organized this like a man and a real manager. There is a right way to do things and Les played this well. Welcome aboard, Chief.

You had two groups on this board: Group 1, those who knew Miles was gonna make a change; Group 2, those who figured he was too stupid or loyal or whatever to see the obvious. The round goes to Group 1.

Maybe he lucked into this like we lucked into the BCS game last year, who can say for sure?

I think it was pretty clear Chavis would be the guy after the TN game.

The coach O hire though would be a stunning shock (a good one).

Les doesn't get judged for his effort, or the path he takes. He get judged, and ultimately paid for results. Your OPINION that we were lucky last year and that we may have been lucky in this is irrelevant. We are the 2007 BCSNC and this is a good hire. You will just have to learn to deal with it.
