It’s coming from a company called CrowdStrike that major corporations use for technical shite. This is effecting major news organizations as well.
Locally, fire departments and hospitals seem to be uneffected.

Flew out of Portland earlier bound for Jax. That damn flight was delayed from 7:26 am for so long that I rebooked another one that took off after 1 pm.
Got to DFW and had another two hour plus delay. Finally got on the plane and then sat at the gate while they had to get a part to fix an issue with the damn Catain’s seat. Thanks Boeing!
Finally they fixed it. YES!!! Then the fricking stoppage.
Stranded in DFW right now.

It’s affecting some of my operations here in Europe this morning.

Sounds like CrowdStrike is trying to push updates to fix the issue. Understandably, companies have pulled their internet plugs to try and lessen the damage.

Can confirm sitting in Schiphol and hearing announcements that flights are being cancelled or delayed due to a Microsoft error

I started my work day on my tablet and it hasn’t affected that but we are having issues on some of our PCs.

This is what the issue is. Companies all over affected.
Their current workaround:
Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment
Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory
Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys”, and delete it.
Boot the host normally.

At least that’s a good airport to be stuck at.

Airports here in Europe are really busy right now due to the holiday season. This will cause some major issues I’m sure. I was delayed 3 1/2 hours in Vienna on Wednesday.
