The Right is finally winning the culture war. Yes or no? Does it matter?

I felt a shift happening already but lately, it seems to be an avalanche.
You have very vocal billionaires supporting Trump (not just Elon). On top of that sports figures, music figures, and just a ton of people in general are waking up. I know none of these people matter to a lot of us here but you have to consider not everyone consumes politics on the level as someone reading the poli board does so, as sad as it is, this stuff matters to many.
There are TikToks, tweets, and YT videos of young people confessing that they are no longer buying the MSM lies after voting Dem previously. Several were by white women fresh out of college. We already knew a lot of younger white males vote R so nothing new there.
Trump is cool and "gangsta" to many blacks. Videos of black people saying they will protect Trump at all cost. Videos of black people admitting the Dems are racist and only come around every 2 to 4 years when votes are needed. I know it won't be a huge change, but I think we see a record number of black people voting for an R POTUS this year.
There is a cultural shift happening. Of course, there are many who are still hardcore left and will be even if Biden showed up to their house and personally robbed them at gunpoint. They support him (or just hate Trump) despite the fact he showered with his daughter until she was 13. You have to be sick to still vote for that so they will never change.
LibsofTiktok was able to use the left's "canceling" practices against them this week and has had many liberals fired for their social media posts. Previously these companies would have ignored conservative voices but Bud Light changed that.
I think we all see the changes but the question is can Rs sustain the momentum? If not, then it will not even matter.

I have similar feelings, but difficult to judge how much weight to give them.
But if nothing else, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that progressivism is no longer the counter-culture. Progressivism has become "The Man."
Conservatism is the counter-culture now.
It doesn't matter which side is "The Man." The same dynamic is at play. "The Man" tells you what and how to think. It's human nature to rebel against that.

As long as you keep the Evangelicals away, yes.
For a time. Then they'll overplay their hand and the DEMs will look how the GOP looks now. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

I think that is happening. Did you see the pushback Matt Walsh has gotten over his Amber Rose statements?

Seriously, seek help.
That boogeyman is not going to come out from under your bed and make you stop masturbating feverishly.

He's not wrong. The pendulum always swings back when one side pushes too far left or right. That is why we are seeing the shift now. The left went too far too fast.
The same thing will happen if we let Evangelicals push too far right too fast which they will do.

No but I'm not shocked.
Evangelicals won't like being marginalized, though. This is the cultural back and forth the GOP always has to deal with since GWB.

People are tired of the obvious garbage.
You can’t force people to use incorrect pronouns when referring to others, then label them as intolerant when they refuse. Or rebrand women as "menstruating persons.”
What the left is trying to do is appropriate womanhood, and turn it into, basically, a costume that can be worn. Or normalize violence and crime as a normal and acceptable thing, if a member of a certain culture.
It’s insulting.

Correct and correct.
We started seeing it in 2016 but there was such a reaction to Trump (especially being seen as cool) that they went ALL in. The only reason they've been allowed to go so far as to their insane tranny policies is b/c we skipped a cycle of right-reaction.

When was this too far right pendulum swing?

He was mad that they let her tell her story because of her past. Several people called him out for gatekeeping and said the Rs are now the tent party. It's an interesting outcome vs the conservative movement of the past that sought to marginalize groups who did not meet their strict social criteria.

I'm in my 40s and trying to remember a time when evangelicals had any real political influence.

Evangelicals were cool as long as Southern men like Jummy and Willium was in.

To be honest, it's been this way in Red states for a while. Musk just had to purchase Twitter so the D machine could stop silencing opposing views (Christian family values) or even allow posters to ask questions.

You taking about Walsh?
Did you read what he actually wrote about it? He believes her to be a grifter that will soon betray and be used as a bludgeon against conservatives.
It has nothing to do with gate keeping.

It always boils down to if people can just afford life. If you frick up the middle class, it swings.

The convention had a prayer session for Wageru, a porn star spoke, there was long praise of immigration, and we had union representatives speaking.
This could have been a Democratic convention ten years ago.

Do you give these people any credit or consideration at all for possibly evolving a bit and maybe tempering what they want out of government and especially the federal government?
