Good Lord, what a fricking clown that host is. She had no intention of listening to what he had to say or to have a real conversation, constantly cutting him off to try to catch him in some kind of gotcha soundbite. Kudos to him for keeping his cool, I sure as hell wouldn't have.

The more I see of him the more I like the pick.
Didn’t know a whole lot about him prior, but he seems to have just the personality to deal side by side with Trump and also help get some shite done unlike the waste of space we have in that position now.
God when he debates Harris it’s gonna be a bloodbath.

As a Public Affairs Specialist in the Marine Corps he honed his communication skills & writing skills which is readily apparent. This likely assisted him with his later writings (Hillbilly Elegy) and public speaking. I'll bet he won't shy away from appearing on other shows, regardless of right/left lean (like Buttigieg does for the DEMs) and should be a formidable debate opponent vs Harris if that happens.
People can say what they want about the pick - REPs or DEMs - but I can see why it was a strategic choice for DT - young, energetic/well spoken, not mainstream/former opposition (Rubio, Haley, Scott, etc), and totally aligned to his MAGA-theme.

I read somewhere that he and Vivek were friends in college. That is actually cool. I hope Vivek gets a prominent and important role in this next administration.
