I'm never worried about LSU and recruiting receivers, but with all of the names being thrown around here i wanted to project how the next few years play out.

2024 season
Starters
Kyren Lacy
Chris Hilton Jr.
Kyle Parker

Rotation guys
Aaron Anderson
Zavion Thomas
CJ Daniels

Quibble as you will over who starts - this is the pretty clear top 6

Depth guys/Freshman
Shelton Sampson
Kylan Billiot
Jelani Watkins
Michael Turner (was he working with DBs?)

2025
Starters/Rotation Guys (not going to project who starts, but these guys will play)
Chris Hilton Jr.
Kyle Parker
Zavion Thomas
CJ Daniels
Aaron Anderson (i think if he doesn't start he may transfer)
Kylan Billiot
Jelani Watkins

Depth Guys (these guys are at risk for transferring)
Shelton Sampson

Recruting Class
5 star receiver (whoever it is is Meadows, Ffrench etc..)
Taron Francis
Philip Wright (think he ends up in the class)

2026
Starters/Rotation guys)
Kylan Billiot
Jelani Watkins
5 star receiver (whichever one we get)
Shelton Sampson (if he doesn't transfer)
Kyle Parker (i think he's a 1st round pick and is not back for this year)

Depth guys
Taron Francis
Philip Wright

Projected 2026 class
Jabari Mack

Kind of another down year according to the rankings for LA receivers - anyone know if Alvin Celestin is a DB or WR. Past that i'm seeing Chantz Babineaux (russel's brother?), Kenny Darby (commited to MSU) and not much else. May need to go out of state again

In summary, we're ok with a 3 receiver class in 2025, but i think we need to land at least 4 in 2026 and the instate board is not shaping up great for us.

Same - i'm not seeing a real path for him to get on the field this year and worried he may transfer. I thought he would be our standout for that class but seems Parker blew right by him

He dropped a couple of easy touchdowns when he played

recorded 0 stats because of the drops.

Not a dig on the guy, just stating the facts from last year. I think he'll put it together because it seems like he has all the physical tools to be a really good WR

I think the starters will be Lacy/Hilton/Daniels with Z. Thomas and KP/AA rotating in with the starting units. I do think Pimpton is going to get more run this year in the passing game

Zavion will be a huge contributing Wr.

Zavion > Anderson

I like the WRs you picked but I think Markway instead of Pimpton.

I agree with most of this. I think Lacy and Hilton are slated. The slot seems to be a toss up of AA, CJ, Zavion, and Parker.

Also agree that Pimpton is going to play a way bigger role this year.

I think Kelly plans on using a lot of 2 TE sets, making it pretty tough to cover both 6'6 TEs who can actually catch.

Michael Turner is our neighbor. He is now a DB.

Did they ask him to move once he got to camp?

Billiot

That is your future at wide receiver as of now.

He was gonna move before that. He was all state on defense

I think he was always recruited with the intent to convert

He never looked like an LSU level receiver in profile and when Hankton worked him out. I think Frank and Kelly saw a ATH/CB and knew Steeples would likely be gone

Agree. Unless Anderson gets a lot quicker in his second year removed from his injury then Zavion is the better and more explosive player who should get most of these types of touches

why do you think either stays? Im not saying they won't stay, but if Hilton notches 700 yards and 7-8 TDs, im sure he is gone. He is a 4th year player who has been injured every year. Insanely risky to come back if he has decent production.

As far as Daniels goes, this is already his 5th year. Do you think he stays for a 6th year? Daniels could also notch 500-600 yards and 5 TDs, and head for the draft.

I know people are thinking of Shelton as a possible transfer, but can we at the very least wait til next spring happens? I say let's see where he is at by the end of next spring. I think he also believes the same. At that point he'll still have 3 years he can play anywhere else.

Also, i don't understand how you could have Parker as a starter when he hasn't even been mentioned in the top 5. He could just as easily be a casualty seeing as he is from Texas and Texas and TAMU will be losing several WRs again next year, along with Mizzou and Kentucky losing their entire starting group.

Here's my 2025 WR group
SR Thomas
RSJR Anderson
RSSO Sampson
RSSO Parker
RSFR Billiot
RSFR Watkins
FR Ffrench/Meadows
FR Francis
FR Wright

If we lose both of Sampson and Parker, we'll go after a transfer IMO.

Waiting to season end before I predict anything for WRs 2025 or 2026.

I could be wrong, but I've got a feeling Daniels ends up as WR1 statistically by the end of the season. I'll believe Lacy can offer the consistency of a true WR1 when I see it.
