As per topic. These bastards come one after another. Probably coming from adjacent commercial property. I tried to follow them home with no luck though. Blasted 9-10with the Ryobi fog blower with just a light Talstar P or cutter backyard mixture inside. How do you eliminate these guys?
I’ve seen the traps but the last thing I want to do is attract more.

That’s good to know. If the businesses behind me let me soak their lots with talstar, will that help or do I have to find the ground nest and really get in there?
I have a 15 gallon pull behind. I know they’re going that direction but it’s behind a fence and hedgerow so I can never track them to a nest even when waiting on the other side.
Also how far do they go? There is an empty lot another 100 yards across a major boulevard. Can’t spray that. Edit: I can spray that. I don’t care what it takes.

if they are yellowjackets they make a paper nest similar to a wasp nest. It could be anywhere but I promise you when you find it, you’ll know

if they are ground hornets they’ll be in a burrow or under a stump. Look around any stumps, brush piles, etc.

Either way you’ll see them buzzing around the nest area, coming and going.

broadcast spray isn’t going to get it done. You have to spray the nest

Dude, it's hot out. They're more interested in water than stinging you.

These are ground hornets, not European paper wasps. We have those too but they’re easy to kill.
They don’t get me maybe because I run like a girl but they sting the wife just for fun.
Guess I’m going nest hunting again but no luck so far. Can they go 100+ yards and across a major road for water or more likely in the commercial properties just across the fence?

If they aren’t on your property, I wouldn’t worry about them…if they are on your property, you will find them when you cut grass. Don’t waste your Talstar.

When you eventually find the hole, slip up on it at night and pour a coke bottle full of gasoline in it. You will never see another one from that nest.

They don’t nest in my property but they continue to spend time here and sting people. I have a gallon of talstar. I’d spray the entire neighborhood if it’d help. I can see them fly to the commercial properties adjacent to my pool, but haven’t been able to track them from there.
I know I can get permission to drench said properties with talstar but apparently I have to find the nest in which case I don’t even care about permission. Was really wondering if a good spray over there would get them, or if maybe they’re coming from further away.

Well, in that case I would declare war on their asses. I understand that they like decaying meat so I would probably try to attract them with some meat and poison them. Gotta be careful of pets, though.

That’s old school. Try apple air tags on a couple.

I wouldn't worry about it. They don't drink that much water. Maybe cost you less than .01 a year on your water bill

Bee Repel

This stuff is amazing.

We have a paper wasp issue out where I live, the kids would never want to get in the pool because the wasps were always landing on the water and floating around drinking.

This stuff does something to the surface of the water and they cant float, they drown.

I have honestly killed 60+ of the damn things over a 5 day period.
I used twice the amount they call for and would turn off the pump for a few hours.

I am down to 1 super intelligent wasp that never lands, he just does drive by watering,

For me it is wasps. I must kill 8-10 every time I get in my pool.
